Selangor Asia Challenge Continues Pulling in Sponsors


After introducing the Selangor Asia Challenge last October, Selangor has gained the trust and from a few corporate bodies from various sectors.

 

One of Malaysia's leading logistics companies in Malaysia, ANF Logistics Sdn Bhd came forward to become the main strategic partners for this inaugural tournament.

 

The company which started in 2005, which is one of the biggest logistics solutions providers in Malaysia believes that Selangor Asia Challenge will bring the help build their company’s reputation in the region.

 

The director of ANF Logistics Sdn Bhd, Meor Mohd Fadzlan shared his thoughts regarding their participation in Selangor Asia Challenge.

 

“As an avid Selangor fan myself, I believed in the development and the direction of the new management under the leadership of Raja Muda Selangor. I would like to thank FAS for giving us the opportunity and trust in being a part of this prestigious event,” said Fadzlan.

 

“I also believe that Selangor will rise to be a footballing powerhouse again and will be respected not only in the domestic league but also internationally,” he added.

 

Another big corporate entity that came on board as the tournament strategic partner is Malaysia’s leading media and entertainment holdings company, Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd which was appointed as the official broadcaster for Selangor Asia Challenge 2020.

 

Astro’s Chief Of Sport, Lee Choong Khay also pledged continuous commitment from Astro to help the development of Malaysian football and hope that the partnership not only excites Red Giants fans, but also other local football enthusiasts across the ASEAN region.

 

“Of course Astro is happy to be the official broadcaster for the inaugural edition of Selangor Asia Challenge. We will make sure that the spirit and challenges faced by the Red Giants are translated in the live broadcast, as well as bringing you the latest news related to the tournament, which will strengthen the tournament’s brand value,” he said.

 

To ensure all the player’s fitness is at the optimum level, one of the most prominent gym startups in Klang Valley, Fuel Athletics came forward as the fitness partner.

 

With the facilities provided by Fuel Athletics, all players that participate in SAC will now have access to world-class fitness facilities throughout the competition.

 

“One of the main reasons why we established Fuel Athletics is to promote fitness activities being done in a safe and fun way. Not only we can bring our brand exposure to a higher level, but our participation as a strategic partner for Selangor at SAC will also ensure that all the players will be at their peak performance while playing in the tournament,” said Matin Nadir, founder and managing director of Fuel Athletics.

 

Other notable sponsors that contributed to this tournament include Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA), Malaysia Airlines (MAS), E-Mutiara Consortium (ground transport) and Avisena (specialist hospital).

 

Happening in just two days, each team will play twice and the team with the best results from each match will be crowned as champion. To make the tournament more interesting, the European Emirates Cup scoring format will be used where each goal will also contribute a point.                                                              

 

The champion will go home with USD10,000 cash prize and the first runner up will get USD5,000. All the matches will be played from 5 pm until 11 pm on both days.

 

Apart from football matches, Selangor Asia Challenge 2020 will also feature some other family-friendly activities such as the Selangor football showcase, ASEAN food market and cultural exhibition, and e-sports tournaments around the Shah Alam Stadium compound.    

 

The two days pass for all games will be sold at RM30 for adults and RM5 for kids, while the Red Giants Team Cardholders can enjoy a 50% discount and purchase the ticket at just RM15.
